Nicholas Skalba is a composer/multi-instrumentalist based in Los Angeles. He grew up in Chicago where he studied composition and earned a Master’s Degree in scoring music for film and television from Columbia College Chicago. Before his formal training in composition and orchestration, his interests were geared toward experimenting with synthesis, recording and beat-making. With a fascination for combining different musical styles, he has developed a sophisticated yet unique sound that distinguishes him in the music and media industry.  Nick frequently works alongside Academy Award winning composer Mychael Danna, providing additional music and arrangements to his scores.  Since moving to Los Angeles in 2008, Nick has contributed music to a variety of projects including Onward (Disney/Pixar), The Addams Family 1 and 2 (HMMA award winner for best original score) and Return to Space (EMMY nomination for Outstanding Music Composition For A Documentary Series or Special).  One of Nick's most recent projects, the animated series Ghee Happy, is now streaming on YouTube (link to Ghee Happy Studio).
