Nick Skalba is an up and coming film/television composer living and working in Los Angeles.  His unique musical style is driven from a variety of genres including pop, hip-hop, folk, electronic, jazz, chamber/orchestral composition, and indigenous music throughout the world...  “By interweaving contrasting musical elements, Nick developed a musical landscape that gives the listener a sense of mind space.”  Nick has a fascination for relating the emotional impact of music to the like of other artistic mediums such as painting, dance, drama, and film.  

After growing up in Northwest Indiana, Nick moved to Chicago (2000) to start his career and education in composition.  Nick earned a Bachelor of Music in Composition, and focused his creativity toward film scores.  In 2008 Nick was among the first group of students to graduate from the groundbreaking MFA in Music Composition for the Screen program at Columbia College Chicago.  Since his move to Los Angeles (summer 2008).  Nick has furthered his career and education in music by being involved in various film and television projects.
